Brasfield & Gorrie, a recognized leader in the construction industry, has an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst in the Information Technology department.  The position is located in the corporate office located in Birmingham, AL. The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will help develop business processes that allow for predictive analytics software (such as PowerBI, Business Objects, BI Publisher) and assists Brasfield & Gorrie’s senior leadership to make more informed decisions. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, works well in a team, well versed in a variety of technologies with experience working with both structured and unstructured data.   Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned): - Develop business understanding of complex and varying data sources - Develop and execute implementation plans to store and organize data in order to produce reports providing key insights into financial performance, safety, operational efficiency, project management efficiency - Work directly with Management and the IT Development Team members to support reporting needs - Evaluate BI Software to ensure Brasfield & Gorrie is keeping up with industry standards - Create or assist others in building visual dashboards and reporting solutions that provide meaningful insight to operational results - Conduct regular ad hoc report creation and analyses for project teams and senior management - Build visualization reports - Support other BI users within the organization

The Project Accountant supports construction project teams with the accounting and billing process.   - Review, approve and calculate purchase orders and subcontractor pay applications for processing in accounting software, including change orders - Verify correct tax amount is charged on miscellaneous invoices and purchase orders - Process large volumes of paperless miscellaneous invoices, purchase orders and subcontractor pay applications - Track owner direct purchase orders - Keep accurate logs of owner direct purchases and sales tax savings - Coordinate the owner billing process with the project team - Prepare and process accurate owner billings on a schedule of values, provide billing backup detail and balance billings against job cost when available - Request and obtain valid W-9s for new vendors and vendor remits - Review and process expense reimbursements virtually for employees - Prepare Owner billings for lump sum and cost-plus contracts - Maintain accurate cloud based accounting file system - Additional miscellaneous duties to support project accounting needs

Brasfield & Gorrie is seeking a proven business development professional to lead business development initiatives for Brasfield & Gorrie’s Nashville office, increasing our market awareness and client relationships in hospitality, multifamily, institutional, and not-for-profit healthcare work, while helping to maintain existing relationships in commercial, industrial and for-profit healthcare work. This position will work closely with the regional president and division managers to develop and establish targeted relationships that benefit Brasfield & Gorrie.   Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned): - Work with the regional president to coordinate and manage all of the business development and client relationship management (CRM) activities for the office/region - Work with other non-business development employees to organize and manage their business development initiatives - Develop, maintain, and execute strategic division, client, and market sector action plans - Build, foster and maintain a large network of business relationships with architects, engineers, consultants and other influencers in the construction market - Provide thought-leadership in business pursuits and maintain up-to-date knowledge of current activities - Track all pursuit and relationship management information through Brasfield & Gorrie’s centralized CRM system, ensuring all activity is up-to-date and accurate - Remain up to date on trends within the market by researching the construction industry, continually studying related publications, announcements, and events - Identify and analyze competition and recommend teaming strategy - Craft the best pursuit strategy and lead team players from start to finish - Locate or propose business opportunities by contacting potential partners as well as researching internet and public-released relevant news leads - Screen possible business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials - Assist marketing department on thoughtful, responses to RFQs, RFPs, and other pursuit qualifications - Support management team in closing new business deals - Demonstrate passion for continual learning by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations - Attend industry events and other meetings to stay abreast of market conditions, competition, and establish relationships with existing clients and prospects - Provide ongoing progress updates on new business development activities and other key indicators to management team - Chair regular business development meetings within the office - Participate in regular calls with senior leadership team and regional business development meetings
