This team is responsible for planning, executing, and closing out of BIM deliverables at the project specific level.    Responsibilities: - Manage BIM process on specific projects throughout preconstruction and construction - Develop and execute Project Specific BIM plans - Develop, manipulate, and maintain 3D models for specific projects for use during preconstruction and construction - Analyze models provided by Architects and Design Engineers & adjust for internal use in Estimating and Construction Operations - Participate in VDC Committee meetings & national conferences - Utilize models to support Estimating - Perform and Document Quantity take-off reports - Generate 3D/4D Site logistics plans - Create 4D visualizations to communicate Schedule and sequence of work - Create/ Render Virtual mockups - Create Presentation material/ visual aids - Utilize models to support Construction Operations - Manage coordination of work with subcontractors utilizing Navisworks - Model “scope gaps” necessary for coordination of overhead MEP trades - Run clash detection, document clashes, and track through Clash Report - Maintain/Assist project team with COBie execution - Work with Field Engineers and Subcontractors to establish Trimble layout points in model - Provide regular QA/QC field walks to ensure field installations match coordinated models - Record and Report project data for case studies

Brasfield & Gorrie, a recognized leader in the construction industry, has an exciting opportunity available for a Regional VDC Manager in Atlanta, Georgia.   The Regional Manager of Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of VDC services within their area of responsibility.  Generally, responsibilities include working with Division Managers, Preconstruction Managers, and Project Managers to understand upcoming workload, provide recommendations for VDC support on projects, develop project specific VDC service plans, and appropriately plan for staffing of VDC Coordinators. Additionally, the manager will balance daily project tasks with the work capacity of their coordinators.    Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned): - Oversee all VDC services for all projects associated with the area of responsibility - Develop project specific BIM Execution Plans by engaging with internal and external project teams including preconstruction, operations, architects, engineers, and subcontractors - Plan for and oversee the execution of VDC Services performed on projects included within area of responsibility- services include: - Regional training & support - Project pursuit services (BIM Execution Plan Development, RFP technical write-ups/responses, graphic content creation, animation creation, presentation support/attendance) - Preconstruction support (design model constructability reviews, modeling, quantity take-off support) - Construction services (trade coordination start-up/check-ins, trade coordination extended support or on-site, model development, BIM360 use, Model based Layout Support) - Other services (modeling, virtual reality, laser scanning, UAVs guidance, 3D Printing, facility management integration) - Manage a team of VDC coordinators including staffing, oversight, general support, and project reviews/final reports - Report on the group's work capacity to the director, and participate in department capacity meetings - Perform all base line level services offered by the VDC Department and train other departments in the company - Be able to effectively communicate VDC services performed on projects along with final reports to operational leads
