Brasfield & Gorrie, a recognized leader in the construction industry, has an exciting opportunity available for a Structural Engineer in Atlanta, Georgia to work internally with operations, preconstruction, project, and legal teams.   Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned): - Provide design engineering services for temporary structures consistent with the standard of care established within the construction and design engineering industry and applicable standards and laws. Temporary structures may include shoring towers, falsework, work bridges, shoring walls, cofferdams, bulkheads, hoisting brackets, crane foundations and tie-back connections, special rigging devices, temporary stability bracing, stay-in-place metal deck forms, and other structures and components necessary in the execution of building, heavy civil, industrial, and transportation projects. - Provide design engineering services for construction procedures consistent with the standard of care established within the construction and design engineering industry and applicable standards and laws. Construction procedures may include erection planning, demolition planning, geometry control, jacking sequences, slides and other structures movements, and other procedures necessary in the execution of building, heavy civil, industrial, and transportation projects. - Evaluate existing and proposed permanent structures for temporary loads and conditions. These may include pump trucks, cranes, and other equipment on structures, temporary attachments to permanent works, hoisting from permanent works, and similar conditions. - Generate appropriate plans, calculations, and other documentation consistent with Brasfield & Gorrie, industry, and licensing requirements, norms, and expectations. Work product may be for internal use or for submittal to clients when required and will typically be sealed in accordance with the licensing laws and requirements of the state where the project is being executed. - Perform quality control reviews of the plans, calculations, and other documentation prepared by other engineers employed by Brasfield & Gorrie or by external consultant engineers for the types of work described in the bullets above. - Support preconstruction teams by providing design engineering services, identifying and mitigating risks, vetting means and methods, brainstorming schemes, and developing value engineering concepts for the components of the projects related to the duties described in the bullets above. This team is responsible for planning, executing, and closing out of BIM deliverables at the project specific level.    Responsibilities: - Manage BIM process on specific projects throughout preconstruction and construction - Develop and execute Project Specific BIM plans - Develop, manipulate, and maintain 3D models for specific projects for use during preconstruction and construction - Analyze models provided by Architects and Design Engineers & adjust for internal use in Estimating and Construction Operations - Participate in VDC Committee meetings & national conferences - Utilize models to support Estimating - Perform and Document Quantity take-off reports - Generate 3D/4D Site logistics plans - Create 4D visualizations to communicate Schedule and sequence of work - Create/ Render Virtual mockups - Create Presentation material/ visual aids - Utilize models to support Construction Operations - Manage coordination of work with subcontractors utilizing Navisworks - Model “scope gaps” necessary for coordination of overhead MEP trades - Run clash detection, document clashes, and track through Clash Report - Maintain/Assist project team with COBie execution - Work with Field Engineers and Subcontractors to establish Trimble layout points in model - Provide regular QA/QC field walks to ensure field installations match coordinated models - Record and Report project data for case studies

Brasfield & Gorrie has an exciting opportunity for a Mission Critical Senior Project Manager in Dallas, Texas.    - Review and finalize project business plan(s). - Assemble project management team with division management. - Assemble field supervision team with General Superintendent. - Review and evaluate prime contract with project owner and division Management. - Lead correspondence with the Owner, Engineer and Architect. - Responsible for procurement and management of third party consultants (waterproofing, QC, geotech, etc). - Manage subcontractor default insurance/risk mitigation plan for project(s). - Obtain builders’ risk, general liability insurance and bonding as required for compliance with prime contract. - Create staging, logistics and phasing plan for project(s). - Work with Pre-Construction department to transition the project from estimating to project management. - Oversee issuance of subcontracts and purchase orders. - Work with project management team, scheduling consultant, and/or field supervision to schedule the project. Monitor overall project schedule on a monthly basis. - Oversee submittal process. - Establish project schedule of values and billing and payment application requirements. Brasfield & Gorrie has an exciting opportunity for a Mission Critical, Commercial and Healthcare Project Manager in Dallas, Texas.    - Work with field management to generate job specific safety plan for the project. - Develop project business plan. - Serve as the main point of contact for the Engineer and Architect. - Work with Pre-Construction and Field Supervision to identify and implement all contract deliverables, quality testing, and reporting requirements. - Create staging, logistics, and phasing plan for project. - Lead coordination of subcontractors. - Set up bonding and/or Subguard, change order log, and cost tracking for the project. - Set up project in E1 and Prolog software. - Responsible for project startup, including obtaining permits and licenses and managing jobsite mobilization. - Facilitate subcontractor pre-mobilization/startup meetings. - Issue and administer subcontracts (payments, insurance, bond, safety, haz-com, etc.) and purchase orders for multiple trades. - Assist in development, planning, and updating of overall project schedule.
